About
I have been knitting on and off since my grandmother first taught me to knit (a pink garter stitch barbie blanket, I am ashamed to admit) at the age of seven. For years my knitting world consisted of creatively constructed rectangles until my ex was kind enough to give me a gift certificate for knitting classes one Christmas.
Enter my sock knitting addiction. I figured knitting socks was a good way to learn to knit different shapes, and my knitting took off once again from there.
I am now also dyeing rovings and spinning my own yarn. Such joy! I am new to spinning – January, 2007 began that new obsession – but it feels even more natural to me than knitting does. Now all I need is more time.

Hello!!!!
I am very much a beginner at knitting…So far I have only finished two projects, one being a scarf I handed off to my sister for her birthday.. it was a pattern that popped up by mistake, I started knitting then switched to purl for a bumpier pattern when I accidentally switched to knit again, and BOOM! The pattern was born!
The second project I started was a pair of fingerless gloves from Louisa Harding’s accessories book. A friend of mine let me borrow it and helped me through the rough parts. I’m happy to say they turned out nicely, what a relief!
I’m self-diagnosed ocd, and being so have started on Christmas shopping in October. Heh heh. I was searching on google forEVER for a pattern for a beer cozy when I found your your blog!!! I was wondering if you would mind sharing the pattern? My boyfriend would absolutely love them! And being a recent 21 year old, I would too!
You have the most beautiful yarns on here… I am in yarn heaven. I wish someday to go to the local knit shop and get something similar to yours! (I’m waiting for Nov. 15th, that’s when I’ve started my yarn budget!!) I’m really into earth tones.. and gardening. I was really happy to see your rose pictures!! I haven’t tried growing roses yet, I’m committed to keeping the spider mites off my indoor jungle I have going, the outdoors is still my playground.. but I’m learning as I go.
As you can tell, I love to write, and I’m cutting myself off. I find whenever I get on knitting blogs, I tend to go nuts. You all are such inspirations! I’m sitting up far too late, with my Knitter’s Bible to my left. It’s my last thread of sanity.
Ok! I swore I was cutting myself off. Thank you so much for having this blog, I have had such fun reading what I’ve been able to so far! I can’t believe you have a spinning wheel. It’s quite possibly too much for my brain to handle. Like I said, a true inspiration!
Thank you!!
Sincerely,
Erin
